My confidence in South Tacoma Mazda has heightened to a level of great trust. They are far better than some other service places I have gone to to get oil changes. I recently had my CX-5 serviced there. I experienced good communication between the service advisor, the mechanic, and myself. They made my visit comfortable in the waiting area. This is my third time buying a car from South Tacoma Mazda and I’ve never encountered any of the “car salesman” tactics that people complain about. My recent experience was with Rachel who couldn’t have been more friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. She helped me go through several models before I decided on the one I wanted and was never pushy or short. She patiently explained all the CX 5 new features and even helped me set some of them up. I have since spoken to her on the phone a couple of times for additional info and she was again friendly and helpful. Thank you Rachel for all of your help, I love my new ride.
I called here to see a car and they took me in the next day and even accommodated for me to come in earlier then the set appointment time. I booked an appointment with Rachel and she was extremely friendly and efficient. It was my first car purchase and I was able to be in and out under 3 hours. Simply went here with the intention of test driving a car at the time, had no intention of buying as I was still doing research on what car would be the best fit for me. Thanks to excellent and knowledgeable customer service from Celtan, though I didn't buy my car that day, I did come back a couple days later to buy the car. As I right this nearly a month later, the car is out performing all my expectations and Celtan and the other friendly staff at South Tacoma Mazda didn't let me down in the slightest.

Hunter did amazing job with my CX-90 which had 4 recalls that needed to be done. He was attentive and thorough when going over everything. Gave me a timeline which was accurate and provided great customer service. Also Judge the technician was amazing going over things as well. The best experience I’ve had buying a car! The gentleman who assisted me, Garrett, was smart, friendly, charismatic, and helpful. Very good service here, I'm so glad we did our research and went with a Mazda and this dealership! We are super pleased with our purchase and I appreciate the down to earth perspective and assistance given by Ryan in sales and Calvin in financing. The car we were interested in was ready and waiting for us to immediately take a test drive. The whole process took approximately 2 hrs and we didn't have to keep doing the back and forth game where you feel pressured and frustrated and exhausted. I would recommend seeing Ryan in sales if you're interested in a new or pre certified used Mazda.

At the end of May we ordered a Mazda, and the whole experience from start to finish was the best car purchasing experience we've ever had at any dealership. Rachael the salesperson was the best during the whole process, gave great advice, and the additional staff in sales and finance were very helpful and friendly too. I would DEFINITELY go back here for another car. In finance the gentleman did respectfully try to sell us some additional products for optional coverage, which was expected but he was not pushy. The whole sales process was really how car buying should be but usually isn't. Had a great experience at South Tacoma Mazda purchasing a CX-30 in August! Slavik and the team were helpful and patient, and I never felt a sense of pressure to buy. Slavik helped me get a great deal on the exact configuration I was looking for. Communication was prompt and clear, especially while I waited for the in-transit car to arrive! I found that Paul at the South Tacoma Mazda was the most helpful, considerate, kind and most caring sales associate I had come into contact with. There was no pressure at all! Paul was very patient with me. I say this because it took me a very, very long time for me to make a decision and to move on from my very plain, with no tech, 2008 Hyundia Accent. That I had for over 16 great faithful years. Before I decided to make my purchase. Paul helped me become very comfortable with the car. Paul went over all the features it included to help me become comfortable with the new tech, that I was definitely not used to. For a first time buyer I wasn't pressured or gouged for my money. Chris W was really helpful on finding a car that fit into my budget and range of miles. Everyone is so nice here. Evan is really helpful and knowledgeable. He has taken care of us a bunch of times and is always so kind and efficient. We came in this week after my key fob button broke and he fixed it as well as got my tire fixed after I drove over a screw. They also have a nice big waiting area that is kid friendly with coloring pages and crayons and plenty of snacks to keep the kids busy.
Chris W was amazing to work with. Was not pushy, followed up, and got the job done! He even came in on his day off when he had much more important things to do. I have been a Mazda customer since 2015 and have taken my car to several dealerships over the past nine years. I can honestly say the service department at south Tacoma Mazda goes above and beyond for their customers. They are friendly, honest, and more generous than they have to be. They never turn me away when I show up with without an appointment for an emergency, even when it means staying past closing time. They are always quick to return phone calls, easy to communicate with, and I’ve never been pushed to do any repairs on my car that didn’t seem necessary. They even repaired a cracked cylinder and refilled my brake fluid for free. I love these guys and will drive down to get my car serviced here, even when I move out of Tacoma. I wouldn’t take my Mazda anywhere else :)
Chris Wodjenski went out of his way to assist me in getting into the car I wanted. He spent time looking for cars within my price range with the features I wanted. He spent a lot of time and energy to make sure I had everything I wanted. In the end, I drove off the lot with a car that was everything i wanted and more. My purchase from South Tacoma Mazda with Paul P was for an insurance replacement purchase. The timing of the car's availability, my distance to travel to them and the insurance payout was not exactly in sync. I am so grateful to Paul and Ed for making provisions where I could reserve the vehicle, pick up the car with a deposit and pay the full amount a week later once the insurance and bank checks cleared. Gosh I don't even know where to begin, Mazda of Tacoma was absolutely amazing Mike and Garret did such a great job. When we first arrived they let us browse for a little before coming up which is huge to me, they were so sweet about the test drive and everything in-between. Finance and the manager where equally amazing too. My only regret is not remembering everyone’s name because when I say everyone I mean Everyone who works there stops to say hi (they even helped with our girls) and when we finalized the purchase they stopped to say congratulations. While they had a few of them on the lot, they weren't quite what I was looking for. We actually bought our new Mazda in Puyallup at Milam, but we've been taking it to the Tacoma Mazda for the oil change because it's closer and slightly cheaper. Both times I've messed up on scheduling, and they've been very accommodating. Fairly reasonable for an oil change and they rotate the tires too. The service is outstanding, and the waiting room is comfortable and the whole place is newly updated. They even throw in a free car wash at Brown Bear. They'll also provide a complementary loaner car for longer work (I didn't even know about it until they suggested it).

Furthermore, upon our departure, we exited to find our new vehicle fully washed and detailed with a big red bow. We caught some family photos and we drove away in our new CX-90 that very same day. Absolutely hands down the best experience I've had at a car dealership. This is my 3rd time purchasing from them. I have shopped other car dealerships and always come back. The customer service is .. well if I could give them 10 stars out of five I truly would. They treat people right! Treat them with respect and kindness and have the cleanest vehicles in at least 2 counties in my experience. They are 60 miles from my home and I will make the drive every time. Many of the other dealerships local to me (I-5 cars for example) could learn more than a dozen lessons from this dealership! I recommend them to everyone, friends and family and even strangers! You can't go wrong here!

Really really impressed with this store! My car wouldn’t start at the end of my work day yesterday, got a tow from the Mazda roadside assistance (so smooth and pain free) called the next morning to check on things. Was told they would get to it at noon (this was 8:30Am) I said ok great. Get notice way before noon with a video explaining the issue. They fixed the issue and I picked up at 13:20. No cost to me due to warranty and the absolute speed and communication was absolutely amazing. Blown away by this store!

Was looking for a reliable, smaller, good mpg car and mainly considering Honda and Toyota. Had almost forgotten about how good Mazda can be. Submitted an online request which was answered quickly and actually addressed the questions I had. Most dealerships rely on automated messages and completely ignore any comments you include in the request. Jeff Mitchell in sales was extremely responsive and professional in his communications. While many dealers are still selling at or above MSRP, South Tacoma Mazda is selling theirs at invoice and more importantly... without any forced dealer add-ons. The GM and finance manager were friendly and helpful as well. They didn't have what I was looking for in stock, but were able to bring one in from another store the next day. Got a great deal on a quality car. Happy with the new Mazda 3 and the overall experience. Jeff even delivered the car to me at work because I couldn't make it to the store. Also appreciate that he took the time to go over all the features at delivery. Highly recommend.

The most important thing for me when looking for a car was being treated fairly. I shopped around the area and met half a dozen slimy dealers with huge markups. When I walked in and met with Chris, he talked me through everything and was incredibly transparent. Do your homework, set up an appointment with Chris and you'll be in good hands.
We purchased a 2023 CX5 from South Tacoma Way Mazda. Our salesman was Paul Perry. He was professional, non pushy, a actual pleasure to work with. If you’re looking for a car, Tacoma Mazda is your place and a wonderful man named Chris is your guy! Before I came here, I was struggling finding a trustworthy place to help me find a good reliable car for a decent price. Chris and the rest of the staff at south Tacoma Mazda are absolute life savers. They were all so nice and did whatever they could to find me the perfect car in my price range and even helped me figure out a cheaper insurance. I ended up driving a Nissan Sentra 2019 off the lot the same day, it’s been a couple weeks and I’m still absolutely in love with the car. I just purchased a 2020 CX-30 from South Tacoma Mazda today. Garrett was amazing! He had the car already warming up for me when I got there for the test drive, and was able to explain every detail about it before I took it out on the road. Then when we came back into the office to talk about the offer and the paperwork, he was very helpful through the entire process, answering any questions that my son or I had. When I went into the finance office to sign the paperwork, Ed was just as amazing, again answering every question that I had, as well as going over everything the remaining warranty covered, and showing me the monthly breakdown of my total car payment, with the extra options that I chose. Everyone that I met was very friendly from start to finish, and they kept me updated the whole way through. I would definitely purchase another car from South Tacoma Mazda! We traded in our CX-30 yesterday after having it a little over 2 years and with it only having a little over 16,000 miles. We upgraded to the CX-50. Since we dealt with Michael Atkins two years ago, we knew he was going to be our person to go to. He is by far the best car sales person that we have dealt with from Washington and Texas. I 100% recommend him because not only will you get great service, but you will also get emails and texts from him just checking to see how you are doing and if there are any questions. My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Michael Atkins. When we went to Mazda a couple of weeks ago, he was the first sales representative who came out to talk to us within the first 5 minutes of us arriving at the dealership. His demeanor and understanding of our needs of needing a bigger vehicle because of my husband being on dialysis was amazing. Michael didn't pressure us into doing a test drive or buying a vehicle, he simply said when you are ready to test drive just to let him know and he gave us his business card. So fast forward to this past week, I went online to see how much we could possibly get for our Chevy Sonic for a trade in. I had been texting with a member of the dealership (sorry can't remember her name) about coming in to do a test drive. This past week I let her know that we would be in on Saturday around 1p and specifically asked for Michael. We came in for the test drive and he already had a CX-30 ready for us to test drive. We weren't planning on buying, but after talking to him and being forthcoming that our credit wasn't great and we didn't know if we would get approved. He explained that sometimes a bank is more willing to take that risk with a person buying a new car more than one who is buying a used car. The process was simple, easy and took less time than what we were expecting, 3.5 hours isn't bad compared to when we bought our chevy sonic and it took all day long in 2014. We will definitely be recommending him and the dealership to our friends when they are looking for a new or used vehicle.

I went to the store yesterday to look at the lot and see their inventory, I have to say they have a lot more than just Mazda. Mikey was able to hook me up with exactly what i needed for the right price. Naz helped me out too by bringing me to the store and having me talk to Mikey. 5/5 really good store to check out.
I can not say enough about the Service department here. I have been there three times now- installation of CarPlay, general maintenance and repair of recall part. Each and every time, the service has been prompt and extraordinarily friendly. A particular shout out to Jesse, the Service Advisor, who is very knowledgeable, helpful and exceptional at customer service. For one of those dates, I even arrived a week earlier than my appt- yet he accommodated me and made the process seamless. Cheers for customer service at a time when it seems to be dying art.
Great experience helping my mom buy a new Mazda 3. Jeff Mitchell went above and beyond for us during this crazy car market. Finding a new car in short period of time is very challenging with the shortage of new cars. Jeff communicated with us constantly and looked at all of his resources to find the perfect car for my mother in a short window of time and never tried to steer her into another car she didn’t want. He delivered exactly what she wanted in a two week period! If you in the market for a new Mazda I highly recommend Jeff he will make the whole process stress free and easy as pie!
Thanks to Mazda of South Tacoma and Jesse the service writer. My daughter goes to college in Tacoma and needed her car serviced twice this month. Her car got vandalized and the door panel was damaged. The crew at the dealership did a great job getting the part quickly and installed in an hour. Then she had a check engine light come on. During the oil change they reset and cleared the code. Service done in less than 90 minutes. Thanks Jesse and the techs.
Daniel has been amazing to work with at Tacoma mazda. My new mazda 3 turbo is the first new car i have ever owned(which i absolutely love), first car purchased at a dealership, first trade in of a vehicle outside of selling it myself. Where sales is involved, I usually do not give 5 star reviews but I gotta give credit to this whole team for making me feel like I am getting what I pay for. The car sells itself with its awesome features, and amazingly for its price. The crew (special shout out to Mike and Daniel) really took their time to explain the features of my new CX-30 to me, that I'm not just one of those people who buy for "looks", although Mazda cars look beautiful. I understand how the buttons in my car works and their service team takes care of my maintenance. They take videos of what they did during the service and explain what was done with the vehicle and any issues it has, which gives an extra peace of mind! They are approachable when I have questions and during a time when I got hit by another vehicle and needed a part while my car sits at the body shop, Mike went out of his way to talk to the parts and service managers to order the missing part/look for it for me. I appreciate this whole team so much! Even though I live in Seattle, I don't mind the drive down here for my service. And I will definitely get my next car here.

Bought my 2021 CX-9 Carbon Edition last year and sending a family member back currently to buy a 2022 CX-5 from him. Had a great experience at ST Mazda! Jeff Mitchell was extremely helpful and spent all of the afternoon making sure the car I selected was the best fit for me and that I understood all of the features and technology. They also made my trade-in experience a breeze, which was a huge relief. Katy Young was also very responsive and greeted me warmly upon arrival. I really like how the dealership was smaller, quiet and intimate and I wasn’t waiting in line behind 39 other people, like my experience at other Tacoma dealerships.
My husband, brother-in-law, and I visited South Tacoma Mazda on Saturday to check out a used car. My husband had called the night before to set up an appointment with one of the Michaels but when we showed up, Michael wasn't available and had Jeff help us out. It worked out beautifully! I felt like Jeff was very laid back and respectful. We fiddled around with the car, took it on a test drive, and bought it in a few hours. This is my 4th car in 10 years and I have to say that this was my best experience. I'll definitely look for Jeff at South Tacoma Mazda when I buy my 5th car. Jeff called me yesterday to check in. No one has ever called to check in before so it was a bit surprising. I've only had the car for three days but all is well so far. My husband and his brothers loves the car. I like the car. All is good so far. (This is also the first time I've financed a car instead of paying outright cash. Wow, I'm not sure why everyone keeps saying it's so much more expensive to finance because it definitely isn't the case for me. In fact, if there are no major issues with this car, I will save money over the next few years!!)

This review is for the Service Department. After having two Mazdas , and dealing with horrible service departments, I decided that my next car will not be a Mazda. I loved both my cars but I just couldn't deal with the unprofessional and down right rude service departments anymore. But we moved, and I decided to give it a shot and bring my Mazda to South Tacoma Mazda. I have to say, these guys changed my mind about buying a different car when I'm ready to trade in my current Mazda. They are super nice and professional. They take their time and explain everything simple and to the point. At this point I had my car in for service twice and I can't be happier for the service I received. I hope they will never change because they can't even compare to the other Mazda places I've dealt with( Puyallup Mazda, Walkers Mazda and Stokes Mazda in SC). Keep up the good work guys, and you gained a new long term customer! Thank you for everything! Edit: since this review I did purchase another Mazda from them , and the sales department was just as awesome, and easy to work with. They were straight forward with their prices, did not try to over sale us. It was an easy and clean transaction, with no bs sales pitches. These days we are taking both of our cars for service to South Tacoma Mazda and we could not be happier.
I usually go to Puyallup Mazda but Tacoma Mazda is closer. I’m happy I chose to go to S Tacoma. I had to take my car in because I wasn’t able to get a code to come across my screen S Tacoma scheduled me and took care of the problem. It took a little while but that because of the computer system. Everyone was so helpful and so nice. They are also super clean which is very important to me in these times. The tech guy named Phil was just the nicest guy. I really appreciate Mazda not taking advantage of me (a woman) I know nothing about cars and could be easily sold into something I don’t need. I highly recommend S Tacoma Mazda.

Just leased my second car in a row from these guys (a CX-30, after I turned in my 2017 CX-5 on which the lease was expiring) and have been extremely pleased with my overall ownership experience. I've owned cars from a host of manufacturers in my life - BMW, Audi, Infiniti, Lexus, Toyota, Honda, Mitsubishi - and can say with confidence that Mazda cars hit the hard-to-find sweet spot where quality, reliability, feature sets, 'fun' and value for the money all come together. This dealership is well run overall: - The sales people are knowledgeable of their product line and will answer all your questions with great patience. - The sales manager will help you get the car you need in a highly professional, low-pressure way and will help to identify the financing package you need, whether you're buying or leasing. - And the service department gets you in and out quickly, honoring the appointment time you can easily schedule either online or by phone. My only suggestion would be for these guys to 'de-clutter' their lot. The cars are absolutely jam-packed onto it, making it difficult to walk around, view the different colors for each model, explore different trim levels, etc. Overall, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND South Tacoma Mazda!

I have purchased numerous vehicles in my life, and I have always hated the car buying experience. I have always could dealerships, and their sales staff overly pushy and not really helpful. This is what makes my experience at South Tacoma Mazda so special. From the moment I was greet my Salesman Michael A. was extremely friendly, and patient. He took the time to help me find the right vehicle in the right color, and I never felt like I was being forced into anything. I can not recommend Michael A. enough to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle. He has also been very helpful after the sale on helping me get the additional accessories I want to get on my vehicle taken care of. He is a salesman who truly cares about his customers, and customer service.
I don't really be leaving reviews but Mazda this is definitely a 5 star type of review. I'm sitting in the waiting room they send me a text message I open it up and it's a video of them expecting my car and telling me their concerns & recommendations. It blew my mind not only did they give me visual they gave me reassurance that everything they doing is legit. #thatsdope
I have been working with this Mazda dealership's service team for the last 10 years and i have only good things to say. They greet me by name. They are fast and professional. They don't try to talk down to me when i don't understand. I just recently traded up my 2010 Mazda 3 for a CX5. The sales team didn't try to sell me the car; the car did that itself. I only have good things to say about this dealership. Michael took my husband and I out for a test drive and answered all our questions. He was personable and attentive. We also worked with Cortland and Ed in finance and had the same pleasant interaction with both of them. I would highly recommend this dealership. I love my new Mazda!
I had a great experience first working with Shayla online. I inquired about a lease and was able to get very detailed information about the car I was interested in. Shayla responded very promptly and answered all my questions. Once I got to the dealership, it was smooth sailing as much of the deal was already worked out ahead of time. Mike was able to assist me and was easy to work with and kept me company while waiting for the finance paperwork to be ready. The most stress-free and easy-going car buying experience I've had!
Recently dealt with several dealerships and I can honestly say if you want a good one, this is THE one. Sales associates are friendly but not pushy, service department is outstanding, the finance department is amazing, and all the times I have been in over the last week have been pleasant. I am very particular when conducting business and had zero issues with how anything here was handled. Questions are always answered, staff is always friendly, the building is always immaculate. I cannot imagine going to any other dealership after the excellent service here.
I had a number of bad experiences the last couple of weeks looking for my new car. One dealer even went so far that he acted as though He was doing me a favor by showing me the car and working within my budget so I OWED him my business. South Tacoma Mazda was a breath of fresh air and a Fantastic experience! From walking in to driving away. I worked with Samantha from the internet sales department. She was very easy to speak to, well organized and prompt with communication. Calvin worked out the deal from a financing perspective clearly explaining all terms conditions and costs. Finally, Pavel sat with us, even after the dealership closed for the day, to review all the features in our new CX5. Highly recommend for a knowledgeable, comfortable, stress free buying experience. Far and few places with folks like this anymore!
Not only did I have a great experience purchasing my car here, but their service department is phenomenal! Been going there for maintenance for a while now (before buying my car there) and I have never been disappointed. No service sales pressure from staff and customer service is always top notch. Nice waiting area. I trust this place to never take advantage of me as a customer... Which is pretty rare these days.
South Tacoma Mazda was GREAT! I Was told about Gregg Cooper by a friend and they was not wrong about how helpful he is. He showed me cars in my price range and cars close to what I wanted and I got the car I wanted. This car dealership is one of the best, if not the best, in the Tacoma area. I had such a great experience with Mazda! This is my third time getting a new car through a dealership & I gotta say, it was refreshingly easy. I never once felt pressured. Hunter is one of the newest associates & I feel like he did a great job helping me into a brand new CX-5 Touring! I had a ton of questions. Hunter was patient & if he wasn’t sure about something, he always went to check with his manager to be 100%. I was able to get the preferred package in the colorway I was looking for AND the price was reasonable. Calvin in financing was super fast & efficient, too! It felt like it took me no time at all from start to finish. I drove it home and realized I didn’t have the Navigation SD card installed. I called Hunter & he was so apologetic... He even offered to bring it to me at my most convenient time! So far so good!
Leased a car from the folks here and went back a year later to trade in the lease for a different vehicle. They really pulled through for us both times and got the last car available shipped down to us. Kris, Mike and Calvin all made sure we were happy with the vehicle and deal. We would definitely go back again to work with them.
