Visit South Tacoma Mazda and test drive the 2018 Mazda6 model’s two engines. Standard on most trims is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder power plant that achieves 187 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque and pairs with front-wheel drive (FWD) and either a standard six-speed manual or optional six-speed automatic. This engine carries over from past models, but this year adds cylinder deactivation technology for enhanced fuel economy.

Standard in the upper-level trims is a new 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that outputs 250 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. It gets the six-speed automatic transmission standard, along with rear-wheel drive (RWD).
